French Mallow Featured Photo by Melissa Hamilton at Imagekind

French Mallow by Melissa Hamilton

Melissa Hamilton is new to Imagekind, but She's been selling on Zazzle for quite a while. I believe I have one of her stores featured on the "Gifts" page sidebar.
I've been enjoying her photography at IK, and this one really called out to me. I love flowers and floral photography so I was excited to see that M. Hamilton had flowers too! I hope you enjoy these simple purple flowers and green leaves.

Southern Bell Featured Artwork by TheMears at Imagekind

Southern Bell by The Mears

Today's featured artwork is "Southern Bell" by The Mears at Imagekind. I don't recognize the flower, but I find the flowers including the one in focus to be stunning. The combination of creamy white and purple is very elegant and goes very well with the green leaves. The background is sufficiently blurred that the plant pops out at you giving the image more of a 3-D effect. Finally the dark purple lines in the main flower really draw the eye to a focal point so there isn't a problem with the detail in the rest of the plant.

Spring featured Artwork by Scott Ferman at Imagekind

Today's featured artwork is Spring by Scott Ferman

Scott specializes in fractal flame artwork which is created mathematically using a computer. I really enjoy this work because of the colors of nature present and the changes in lighting level in the work. It has a feeling of Mother Nature in stained glass. The dark green above makes me think of a leaf canopy whereas the bright blue makes me think of a window to the sky. Click on the image or buy button to learn more and see more of his great work.
